Our Notes

The 4cm Tencel™ & Metal Clip Belt fastens with a side-release clasp in matt black metal, so there are no holes and no prong. Press the wings in and the two halves part; push them together and they click home. Behind the clasp a slider sets the length, which means the belt adjusts anywhere along the strap rather than in fixed steps, and the tail feeds back through to sit flat. There's a real weight to the clasp in the hand, and the click when it closes tells you it's shut without looking.

The strap is woven Tencel™ lyocell, a fibre made from wood pulp, with a dry matt surface and a close, even weave that holds its width without stiffening. At 4cm it fills a jean loop properly and sits flat across the hip.

Hardware: Heavyweight solid buckle cast in zamak, a durable zinc alloy. The pin and frame are made as one solid piece rather than plated over a hollow core, which is what gives the buckle its weight in the hand and keeps the edges sharp over years of wear

Care Guide

Spot clean the strap with a soft cloth and warm soapy water, working the mark rather than soaking the webbing, then let it dry naturally away from radiators and direct sun. Tencel™ lyocell weakens when it's wet, so don't scrub it or wring it out. Wipe the clasp with a damp cloth and dry it. Store it rolled in its cotton dust bag rather than folded or hung

How to take your waist measurement

Measure around the waistband of your trousers, where you will position the belt, rather than on top of any clothing.

Order the size where you fall in the middle of the smaller and larger measurement. For example, if you measure 83cm (33in), order a medium.

Size up if you are unsure between two sizes.
