Recycled Knit Tracksuit Bottoms

Knitted trousers rather than sweatshirt joggers — the same fine-gauge knit as the hoodie, so they hang softly down the leg instead of holding a track-pant shape. They're made from a blend of 40% Better Cotton Initiative cotton and 60% recycled content: offcuts from weaving and knitting mills, post-consumer clothing and recycled plastic bottles, spun back into yarn rather than thrown out.

They're knitted in small batches in a family-owned factory in Tuscany. The waist is ribbed and elasticated with a drawcord, and the leg tapers gently to a ribbed cuff at the ankle. Two pockets are set into the side seams and there's a patch pocket at the back.

Wear them as the set with the hoodie and white trainers, or on their own with a plain tee and a longer coat over the top. They also work with a fine knit and loafers if you want them reading as trousers rather than loungewear. It's the knit that lets them go either way, so the shoes make the call.
