The Signature Derby has been with us since our original line-up — a shoe we've never had reason to replace, because a clean Derby done well doesn't date. But we have quietly refined it along the way: cushioned padding added at the heel for comfort, grip strips worked into the outsoles for surer footing, and the soles brought into tonal colour to match each pair. They actually started life on a brick-red sole — a look we loved at the time, but the tonal update gives them a cleaner, more considered feel that's aged far better.
It's a smart, minimal shape in a soft vegan nubuck, with the relaxed brushed texture of suede rather than the shine of polished leather: fine with tailoring, just as happy with chinos or dark denim, in a run of quiet tonal colourways. What gives them their style is the restraint — everything colour-matched, the outsoles, laces and insoles all tuned to the upper, so each pair reads as one clean, considered whole.
The uppers are Italian vegan nubuck (100% PU), one of the finest vegan suedes you can get, Ecolabel certified and made in Italy to Oeko-Tex® 100 and REACH standards, with a soft finish that only improves as it wears in. The lacing runs through metal eyelets in 100% zamak (a durable zinc alloy), tipped to match, on an open-laced Derby front with subtle stitching detail throughout.
They sit on a solid, heavyweight TR sole with a light tread and grip strips underfoot — durable and grippy, with a low 3cm heel and 1.5cm toe that keeps the profile smart. Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the shoe over cushioned heel padding, and cushioned layered insoles pair soft memory foam over a recycled PU base (20% recycled PU) for comfort through a full day.

We've made this chart to help you choose the right size. You'll need your foot length measurement to get started. Once you've found your perfect fit with us, you can typically select the same size for all other models.
Fit and comfort notes:
- Width and volume: our footwear is designed with a slightly wider D width fitting, offering more width and volume than most brands.
- Materials: we use high quality vegan leather and suede. These materials are stable and won't stretch out significantly over time, so we recommend sizing up for comfort.
- The perfect fit: you don't want the shoes to pinch your feet. You should have wiggle room for your toes and no rub points.
- Feel: in most cases you'll find our footwear is comfy straight out of the box. Depending on the style or your foot shape, it can sometimes take a few wears for the uppers to soften and mould to your feet.

How to take your foot length measurement
- Stand on a hard surface with your heel against a wall.
- Measure your foot from the heel (the wall) to the longest point of your toes.
- Use this number to find your size in the chart above.
It is helpful to measure both feet, as one foot is often slightly larger than the other. Always choose the size that accommodates your longest foot.
