Vegan Espadrille Wedges by Will's Vegan Shoes, expertly crafted in a family-run workshop in Spain that combines traditional espadrille craftsmanship with vegan, sustainable materials.

The uppers are cut from smooth Spanish vegan leather (100% PU) — a broad panel wrapping the open toe, with a slim adjustable ankle strap to match — while the heel back is woven from canvas spun from 100% recycled plastic bottles (Recycle Standard No CU-1002090), cradling your foot with a soft checkerboard weave. The wedge itself is braided from natural jute rope — the heart of a true espadrille — with a thin TR outsole bonded underneath for grip and durability.

A 7cm wedge heel balanced by a 2cm front platform gives you lift that's easy to walk in, and the gold zamak buckle secures the ankle for a fit you can dial in.

Underfoot, a built-in cushioned footbed topped with soft vegan leather pads your step over the jute wedge. Open-toed and light, they'll keep you cool through long summer days.

This product is certified carbon-neutral and ethically made in Spain under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan from the uppers and linings to the glue. It's delivered to you through our carbon-neutral supply chain in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging.

Upper: Spanish vegan leather (100% PU) with a woven heel back in canvas spun from 100% recycled plastic bottles (Recycle Standard No CU-1002090) and a recycled polyester heel support – soft, supple and made in Spain alongside the sandals themselves
Lining: Unlined – the smooth vegan leather and woven textile of the upper sit directly against your foot, light and breathable for summer
Insole: Built-in cushioned footbed topped with soft vegan leather (100% PU) – padded for comfort over the jute wedge
Outsole: Braided natural jute wedge with a thin TR outsole bonded underneath for grip and durability

Care Guide

Vegan leather: Wipe the straps and toe with warm soapy water and a cloth, then towel dry thoroughly. Jute wedge: The braided jute is a natural plant fibre and shouldn't be soaked — never submerge these or wash them through. Brush off dry dirt with a soft, dry brush, and for marks, spot-clean gently with a barely damp cloth and a little mild soap, using as little water as possible. Dab dry with a towel straight away. The woven heel panel can be spot-cleaned the same way. Drying: If they get wet, let them dry naturally at room temperature, away from radiators and direct sun — heat can make the jute brittle and sun can yellow it. Stand them upright with air around them, and give the jute a day or more to dry fully through, as the rope holds moisture longer than it looks. Weather: These are dry-weather sandals. Jute soaks up water, and repeated soaking can weaken the braid, mark the rope, and let mildew develop — so keep them for warm, dry days and avoid rain and wet grass. If they do get caught out, dry them fully as above before wearing again. Storage: Store them somewhere dry with airflow — not a damp bag or sealed box — so the natural fibre stays fresh between summers.

Fit and comfort notes:

Width and volume: our footwear is designed with a slightly wider D width fitting, offering more width and volume than most brands.
Materials: we use high quality vegan leather and suede. These materials are stable and won't stretch out significantly over time, so we recommend sizing up for comfort.
The perfect fit: you don't want the shoes to pinch your feet. You should have wiggle room for your toes and no rub points.
Feel: in most cases you'll find our footwear is comfy straight out of the box. Depending on the style or your foot shape, it can sometimes take a few wears for the uppers to soften and mould to your feet.

How to take your foot length measurement

Stand on a hard surface with your heel against a wall.
Measure your foot from the heel (the wall) to the longest point of your toes.
Use this number to find your size in the chart above.

It is helpful to measure both feet, as one foot is often slightly larger than the other. Always choose the size that accommodates your longest foot.
